Names

Most place names of the Realm are Luxian: Aurelia the gold lake, Valdoria the valley seat. The towns keep older names from before the Realm: Purgnar, Bonic, Verdian, Aethelgard. The founder's name, Zevi, is gift; his son's, Abselet, is protector.

The dictionary

The Luxian dictionary was compiled in the Royal Archives between 1904 and 1938 under Zevi III, from the speech of the five valleys. Copies are sold at the Archives and the Treasury window. English is used alongside Luxian in every office, on this site, and in the Charter.
