Luxemburry / Tourism / Summer, Hiking, and the Lake
From the last run on April 15 to the first snow the Realm is walked, swum, and sailed. The summer is short, bright, and cool everywhere but the Aurelia shore, and the Luxians spend it outside.
| Walk | From | Time | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| The shrine path | Purgnar | 1 hour | To the shrine at the base of the Cinder. Leave a stone. |
| The Cinder summit | The shrine | 5 hours | The highest point of the Realm. Clear days only. |
| The Silvershine path | Valdoria to Aethelgard | A day | Along the river through the forest of the March |
| The Aurelia shore | Verdian to Marlaneis | 3 hours | The vines, the reed beds, the southern shore |
| The Eastern Wall | Bonic | 4 hours | To the Bonic pass and the view into Switzerland |
Lake Aurelia from Verdian: swimming from the harbour beach, sailing from the harbour, and fishing for trout and char by licence from the harbour master. Boats cross to Marlaneis on the southern shore. The lake is warmest in August and gold every evening of the year.
The Western Forest March is stone pine, larch, and red deer, cut by the Silvershine and the Forest road to France. Aethelgard is the base; the woodcarvers work through the summer.
The larches of the Valdoria Valley turn gold, and the Luxians count it as a sixth season. The paths are at their best and the resorts are two months away.
The four reserves are open on foot. No hunting; fishing by licence. Above the tree line the mountain is the Sentinels' business; tell the Pass House in Purgnar before a summit day.
