The Abselet Dynasty

The Abselet Dynasty is the house of Zevi the Great, and every High Warden of Luxemburry since 1723 has come from it. The present head of the house is Zevi Abselet II, the eleventh High Warden.

The name

Abselet is a Luxian word meaning "protector of the realm." It was the name Zevi the Great gave to his son and heir, and the house has carried it since. High Wardens take one of two regnal names on assuming office, Zevi or Abselet, each with a number, and keep their birth name in private life. The blue of the house appears on the shield of the arms and on the Warden's cloak; the red and gold of the flag belong to the Realm itself.

Succession

The office passes to the eldest child of the High Warden, without regard to sex, a rule set by Zevi the Great in 1723 and honored since. Where a High Warden has no child, the Council of the Peaks names the successor from within the house.

Zevi Abselet II uses both founding names together, the first High Warden to do so, in honor of his father and of the founder.
