Luxemburry is an alpine realm of 480 km² in the heart of the Alps, unified in 1723 and governed from Valdoria by the High Warden. This page states the facts of the Realm in one place.

The Realm

  • Luxemburry is an alpine realm in the Alps.
  • Its area is 480 square kilometres.
  • It is bordered by France to the west and south, Germany to the north, and Switzerland to the east.
  • Its capital and largest city is Valdoria, with 15,200 people.

  • It has five regions: Valdoria Valley, Cinder Highlands, Eastern Peaks, Aurelia Lakelands, and Western Forest March.

Government

  • Luxemburry is a constitutional monarchy.
  • Its constitution is the Charter of 1723, adopted on June 12, 1723.
  • The head of the executive is the High Warden.
  • The High Warden is Zevi Abselet II, in office since March 21, 2020. He was born Prince Umberto Labio.
  • The legislature is the Council of the Peaks, with 24 delegates.
  • The highest court is the High Court of Justice, with three judges.
  • The ruling house is the Abselet Dynasty, founded by Zevi the Great.
  • Citizenship is conferred by decree of the High Warden and recorded in the Register of Citizens.

  • The flag is a gold lion on a red field.
  • The motto is Cheska Ovar, which means The Heart Endures.
  • The anthem is Skada Ovar, The Snow Endures.
  • The language is Luxian. English, French, and German are also used.
  • The people are called Luxians.
  • The currency is the Luxfranc, divided into 100 Shards.
  • The national animal is the alpine ibex. The national tree is the stone pine. The national flower is the edelweiss.
  • The national dish is Quormé Sabzuee.

Geography

  • The highest peak is Mount Cinder.
  • The main river is the Silvershine.
  • The largest lake is Lake Aurelia.
  • The national sport is alpine skiing.
  • There are four ski resorts: Cinder Peak, Bonic, Aurelia Ridge, and Valdoria Family Slopes.
  • The ski season runs from December 1 to April 15.
